Weekly Fuel Surcharge Announcement

The NS Intermodal fuel surcharge is 40% on all Intermodal Rule 11, Local and Forwarded traffic for the week of Monday, November 13th, 2023. NS will re-evaluate this charge on a weekly basis every Tuesday. Each Tuesday, we will advise you if any changes will be made to the surcharge which would be effective the following Monday. When necessary, the Norfolk Southern Intermodal Fuel Surcharge will be adjusted to reflect changes in the Department of Energy Retail On-Highway Diesel Prices (National U.S. Average) index. This index is updated every Monday and can be accessed at http://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel online.
