Norfolk Southern Employee Hardship Fund

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Norfolk Southern Employee Hardship Fund, a new initiative designed to provide vital financial support to our colleagues when they need it most. This fund offers grants of up to $2,500 to eligible employees experiencing unforeseen hardships, such as natural disasters, medical emergencies, or other significant challenges. This program is a direct result of feedback gathered through employee surveys and conversations, reflecting our commitment to listening and responding to the needs of our team.

While Norfolk Southern has provided the initial funding to kick-start the program, the fund’s ongoing success relies on contributions from all of us. Every dollar donated by an employee will continue to be matched 1:1 by NS, doubling the impact of your generosity.

This new program will operate alongside our existing NS Disaster Grant Program. Together, these resources enhance our ability to provide timely and meaningful support, addressing a broader range of emergencies and hardships.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our coworkers and to strengthen the bonds that make our company a community. For more information on how the Employee Hardship Fund works, including eligibility criteria, how to apply for assistance, and ways to contribute, please visit Community Impact's myNS page.
