Charlotte IMF AGS Portal Entry Pavement Expansion

Beginning Thursday, May 28, 2026, construction will begin to expand the pavement near the outgate to our AGS (Automated Gate System) Portal at our Charlotte Intermodal Facility. This pavement expansion will allow drivers a wider turning radius providing for a more ideal portal entry route.

There will be a temporary traffic adjustment during the construction, but the detour will run adjacent to the work and should have only a minor impact to outgates and no impact to ingates. The new entry route into the portal is expected to be open for use by Sunday, May 31.

No shipment departure or availability delays are expected as a result of the project. Drivers should obey all signage, maintain safe speeds, and be aware of construction crews and vehicles while visiting the facility.
