Operational Changes: Cincinnati, OH

ATLANTA, GA

To better serve our customers and improve the on-terminal experience for our drayage partners, we are making a targeted operational adjustment in the Cincinnati market. These changes are designed to increase capacity for international traffic, reduce congestion, and improve terminal fluidity—resulting in faster turn times, lower driver dwell, and a safer, more efficient operation. These changes will remain in place until the completion of our anticipated Sharonville terminal expansion scheduled for late 2026.

 

What’s changing

Effective Monday, February 16, the Cincinnati Gest St. Intermodal Facility will reopen to international shipments in the Cincinnati market.

 

How operations will work

  • International shipments originating at Elizabeth Marine Terminal (EMT) and west coast origin points will ground at Cincinnati Gest St.
  • International shipments originating at the Port of Virginia (NIT & VIG) will continue to ground at Sharonville
  • All outbound shipments, regardless of destination, will only be accepted at Sharonville. No ingates will be permitted at Cincinnati Gest St.

Appointments are currently not required at our Sharonville or Cincinnati Gest St. facilities.

 

Our drayage partners play a critical role in keeping the operation safe, efficient, and on schedule. Adhering to on-terminal safety practices enables faster turns for everyone and helps us deliver the best possible service.

 

Domestic shipments will not be impacted by the operational changes. All Domestic shipments will continue to only be supported at Cincinnati Gest St.
