Apply for Norfolk Southern’s new community disaster relief grant program
Company supporting communities, employees and customers in wake of major storms
Storms in early April along a 1,000-mile-long strip impacted many of our communities in the south and Midwest.
To support our communities impacted by these storms, Norfolk Southern has launched a new Community Disaster Relief Grant Program. Through this program, NS will provide up to $250,000 to nonprofits that are assisting residents in our operating areas affected by the recent weather event. Nonprofits are encouraged to apply by submitting how they are responding to the storm.
Apply here by creating an account or share this link with any deserving nonprofit you know. This new program will be available as needed to allow us to quickly provide financial support to our communities.
To support our employees, the NS Employee Hardship Program also provides grants to cover short-term evacuations or long-term damage repairs.
To support our customers, we prepositioned crews, equipment, and materials in strategic locations to respond to the storm. Our teams are coordinating across affected regions to safely restore service and maintain fluidity for our customers.
