Norfolk Southern announces merger of subsidiaries, forming Triple Crown Services, Inc.

Norfolk Southern is pleased to announce the merger of our wholly owned subsidiaries, Triple Crown Services Company and Thoroughbred Direct Intermodal Services, Inc. Effective April 1, the newly formed, combined entity is operating under the name Triple Crown Services, Inc. (TCSI).
 

Stefan Loeb, Vice President of Business Development and First and Final Mile Markets, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, "We're excited to offer our brokerage and motor carrier services to our customers under one brand name."

This strategic alignment allows customers to utilize TCSI for both their motor carrier and brokerage needs. TCSI will continue to be headquartered in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.  “Our Department of Transportation authorities, motor carrier numbers, Standard Carrier Alpha Code phone numbers, and most importantly, the superior service levels our customers have come to expect from Triple Crown and Thoroughbred Direct Intermodal Services will stay the same, just under a new singular name,” said Sam Niness, President, Triple Crown Services, Inc.
