Pre-Holiday Shipment Outgate Request

As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season, your partnership is key to ensuring a strong start to 2026 - not just for our terminals, but for the entire supply chain. By increasing outgate activity and picking up dwelling shipments, you help us keep freight moving, reduce congestion, and deliver more capacity to the market. These efforts benefit not only NS operations, but also you and your customers, and the broader marketplace.

 

When and where we need the most support:

  • At International terminals, specifically Appliance Park, Kansas City, Landers and Sharonville
  • Monday and Tuesday (12/22 - 12/23 and 12/29 - 12/30) and where possible, the week between these dates

 

How you can help:

  • Please pick up all dwelling shipments from the aforementioned NS terminals as soon as possible.
  • Whenever possible, visit our facilities during non-peak hours (5pm to 8am weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday where applicable) for a speedier experience and to help balance terminal flow.

 

Shipments available for pickup can be viewed via AccessNS Grounded reporting.  We appreciate your future efforts and assistance.
