Trades on Track Community Scholarship Program

This scholarship program awards $5,000 to individuals pursuing careers in the skilled trades. Open exclusively to external candidates enrolling in trade degree programs across our 22-state network, this initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening the skilled labor pipeline. By investing in their education and training, we’re not only empowering individuals to build meaningful, in-demand careers — we’re also helping to shape a more resilient and capable workforce that’s vital to the future of our economy.

 

Applications for the 2025 program year will be accepted May 7 through September 30.

NS Scholarships

Thoroughbred Scholars Program

An annual scholarship provided to 103 new students each year – 100 at up to $10,000 and 3 at up to $40,000. This program is available for the children of active NS employees who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited two or four-year institution. The application period for the 2025 cycle is now closed, and we look forward to announcing this year’s scholarship recipients soon!
